ErgoDesign Project Dissemination Conference
On 11. 11. 2024, a dissemination conference of the ErgoDesign ERASMUS+ project 2021-1-PL01-KA220-HED-000031182: Improving digital skills for innovations in ergonomics and bioengineering for inclusive healthcare was held at the premises of the Spojená škola, Ľ. Podjavorinská 22 in Prešov, which was implemented during the period 01. 12. 2021 - 30. 11. 2024 at the FMT TUKE with a seat in Prešov. The project leader was Poznan University of Technology, Poland, and the consortium members were also Óbuda University (Budapest, Hungary), National Technical University of Athens (Greece), Technical University of Varna (Bulgaria) and Valuedo srl (Italy).
The main objective of the project was to support the implementation of ergonomic and bioengineering innovations in implantology and prosthetics through new digital applications and training in their use. Other objectives of the project include
- increasing students' knowledge in the field of ergonomics and bioengineering and their digital skills in the design and production of 3D printed medical products (dental and orthopedic implants, prostheses and exoskeletons, etc.);
- increasing the knowledge necessary for the design of medical implants for people with special needs (physical and mental);
- expanding the knowledge of trainers about software/digital tools and their possible uses through the implemented trainings;
- increasing the employment of students in the medical implant sector;
- creating a community - a scientific and research team with experts from practice in the field of ergonomics and bioengineering;
- creating a methodology and support tools for the effective replication of similar educational courses.
The purpose of the dissemination conference was to present the results of the ErgoDesign project to representatives of employers, representatives of regional governments, professional organizations, as well as students and representatives of secondary and higher education institutions. During the conference, a manual for the replication of similar professional courses was presented and made available in Slovak and English electronic versions. The conference was attended by representatives of regional governments, companies, schools and educational institutions, who, after the official part of the conference, met at a round table and openly discussed not only topics related to the presented project, but also other aspects of contemporary education.
